Gingerbread Houses

Last week we read lots of Gingerbread books. We read the Gingerbread Man, the Gingerbread Boy, The Stinky Cheese Man, Gingerbread Fred, and finally the Gingerbread Baby. There is a gingerbread house at the end of the Gingerbread Baby so on Friday we did that for our Fun Friday activity. We made two; one for the boys and one for the girls.

First are the pictures of the girls house. They were very eager and theirs kind of fell apart.

And now here is the boys house. They may be the next Aces of Cakes!

And now the best part, EATING IT!

Sock Hop

Our student council hosted a sock hop on Friday. Each child who brought a pair of new adult socks was admitted. The socks were collected for the elderly at a local nursing home. We were excited to help with the service project as well as get to do the Cha-Cha Song with some of our teachers!

Christmas Ornaments

We have been carefully making Christmas ornaments for our class Christmas tree. Here are two of the ones we have made from beads and pipe cleaners. The top one is obviously a candy cane and the second one is a Christmas tree.
